The Rain in Spain...

Does NOT fall mainly on the plains! It actually fell on us while we were in Segovia and it made it 10X colder too. #lilsalty

Segovia was so charming and hispanic! It was actually really small too! You could walk across the entire town in less than 20 minutes. We had a guided tour through the city and I saw things that I have only ever seen in pictures! The coolest thing we saw had to be the big Roman Aqueduct. Cool fact about this awesome structure is that it is straight stone; not one nail, no cement, and it has survived earthquakes and traffic.

And yet again I was a princess because we toured two more palaces! El Palacio de Alcazar had a 32 foot moat and a tower with a big ole spiral staircase. Walt Disney actually based the Sleeping Beauty castle off of this castle! Did I mention Sleeping Beauty is my favorite princess? Too cool. We also toured La Granja, which is basically Spain's version of the Palace of Versailles. It has acres and acres of gardens and it is ginormous!

We also saw a beautiful Moorish cathedral called La Catedral de Segovia. Cool story about this place- in the cathedral you are supposed to wish on the smallest stone inside the cathedral. Our guide even told us two of his wishes have come true by wishing on that very stone.

So here's to wishin'

xoxo,
Lyds
