Week 16

Haupei Yall!

Okay, so I am sorry in advance, but with everything that happened this past week this email is about to be  a little insane!

ALL HAPPY THINGS!
1. I finished the Libro de Mormon for the first time in spanish (and can totally testify that it is still true and is even more beautiful in spanish and I encourage everyone to cherish this book. its ALL TRUE) right before another happy thing...
2. GENERAL CONFERENCE! what an uplifting weekend. Especially the Saturday Afternoon session that was full of missionary work! My absolute favorite talk though was from President Uchtdorf to start off all the sessions Saturday morning. If you actually read these emails, look it up! I promise you will be uplifted.
3. But the most amazing, miraculous thing was between the sessions on Sunday! I dont know if yall remember, but we have been teaching a deaf and mute little girl, EMA, from a menos activo family. And with permission from President Evans and a passed entrevista,  SHE GOT BAPTIZED ON SUNDAY! yeah. we were shocked this week too and learned to ask more questions because the worst they can say is no. I am so so grateful that this sweet little girl was able to make this promise with the Lord. She knows all the lessons (we taught with pictures, signs, and she would draw or write to communicate back) and truly has a testimony of the love that the Lord has for her! Her desire to be baptized was the greatest I have seen and I am so grateful to have seen this miracle.

A quick thought: testify of CHRIST and not of the church. when we truly testify of Christ and the blessings that come from living his teachings, people will understand and have a testimony of his restored gospel and authority that is in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know with all my heart that the blessings that the Lord promises are only possible when we live the gospel and when we know with a surity where his power on the earth is today. I know with all my heart that what I teach and testify of is true and I am so grateful for this opportunity I have to work alongside the Lord in his vineyard!

Sending all my love and huge hugs from Paraguay!
