Week 40

Haupei Yall!

Shoutout to my trainer Hermana Taylor! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Happy Things!

1. I went to Arregua on Monday with the sweet Hermana Llanos! We had some killer moments. It is always so powerful and such a blessing to see that we as missionaries can serve and touch the hearts of people that are not in our assigned area. I am also grateful to have a forever friend like Hermana Llanos to play with!

2. We have been struggling to find two of our favorite favorite investigators, Paola and Cristina lately for different circumstances, but yesterday we planned to just go knock and see. THEY BOTH RECEIVED US! It was a straight up miracle and more than that, they were wanting us to come! It was a beautiful miracle.

3. We went to the temple last P-day and I cannot even begin to express my gratitude for the opportunity. Truly we are the closest to heaven in the Lords temples. I have never felt so loved and never felt more sure of who I am. I am so grateful to have the knowledge of a Eternal Father who loves me as his daughter SO MUCH.

Week 39

Haupei Yall!

Happy Things! but really just MILAGROS!

1. FRANCISCO GOT BAPTIZED!!! but it was the most insane day of my life. baptism days are usually a crazy mess BUT this day was even crazier. We showed up at the chapel in the morning to wait for him to arrive for an interview and he didnt show! So we went looking...and he hadnt been staying at his new room because it wasnt finished yet and he hadnt had the time to go and finish. SO we went and woke him up, said get ready we are finishing your place TODAY and you are going to get to be baptized like you want. Turns out he really just needed some extra hands to finish cementing his walls and painting. After 6 hours we got him all moved in, an hour later he had his interview, and an hour later he got baptized! Our joy was so full. And we slept way good and way happy that night!

2. We were way far from home and it was getting late one night and we had a general address for a contact in the area we were in so we started to look for it. We sat down real quick to find all the details and try to call, but as we were sitting on this random curb in the middle of no where THE PERSON WE WERE LOOKING FOR WALKED BY! Salvadora is a sweet grandma with an incredible family who we met the other week at a funeral. She had been looking for us all week and it was a miracle we ran into each other the way we did. Right now she cannot receive us because her house dueno wont let us in, BUT she is currently looking for a new house...shes AMAZING!

3. Another walk by miracle. We were in another area where lessons kept falling through and falling through. My comp thought of a random contact she had had a while back and we said why not. We went and at her door her mother came to us crying and saying I had just finished praying asking God why is this happening to me? And he sent me you two angels. We were shocked. We have been teaching this family of 3 girls and we know that they are ready to better their lives and see more blessings!

Okay, we are heading off to the temple today to do a session and we are SUPER SIKED. first time in forever. more to come next week ;)

Week 38

Haupei Yall!

Happy Things!
1. We had a multi zone conference this week with Elder Batalla, an area seventy. I am so grateful for all the training we receive and I can honestly say I love zone conferences! The 3 zones that attended made it so that I saw each of my old companions! It was a fun reunion.
2. Last PDay in the afternoon, my companion and I, the oficinistas, and Presidents family all hopped in the trucks, bought some bamboo poles and chicken liver, and went fishing for piranas! It was so so fun! There were no big catches BUT there was a lot of sunburned office elders :) I love the close proximity that I am blessed to have here in the office with President Evans and his wonderful wife!
3. FRANCISCO! YALLS PRAYERS ARE WORKING! MIRACLES ARE REAL! He is moving into a new house tomorrow, actually a rented room from the Bishops house, and IS GETTING BAPTIZED TOMORROW! pictures to come. It truly is incredible to see the Lords hand doing his work. We, as his missionaries, have been feeling like all we could keep doing is supporting him and making sure he keeps coming to church until he got the money all together, but I am so grateful for a loving ward that really stepped up to make this happen for him! Keep the prayers coming because they are working miracles!

Quote of the week: "What God needs is people who will [live for the gospel], people who will go the distance...He needs people who will finish the work." -Jeffery R. Holland. In a world where standards are being dropped, we need to do everything we can to be the Lords army and live the gospel. The Lord needs strong examples who will serve, invite, and show the world that life is so much easier and happier when we live the gospel!
